Refund Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This page sets out, in one place, what our Terms and Conditions already say about refunds. It does not add to or change the Terms. Clause references below are to the Terms.
1. Subscription fees
ShelfGRC is offered on a subscription basis. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly, annual or other agreed basis, as selected during registration or stated in the Order Form (clause 5.2).
All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated in the Terms (clause 5.2).
The subscription fees are paid for access to and use of the Service (clause 5.8).
2. Cancelling a subscription
Unless an Order Form states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are not refundable except as required by law (clause 19.1). See our Renewal and Cancellation Policy for how to cancel.
3. Free trial
New accounts start with a 28-day free trial. If no payment method has been added when the trial ends, the subscription ends and no charge is made (clause 19.1).
4. Failed or late payments
If you don’t pay an undisputed amount within 14 days of its due date, then after giving you at least 7 days’ notice we may charge interest at 2% per year above the Reserve Bank of Australia cash rate (building up daily) and/or pause your access until you pay. Pausing your access doesn’t cancel your obligation to pay (clause 5.3).
Shelf Labs may also suspend or terminate access to the Service if you fail to pay subscription fees when due (clause 19.2).
5. Tax adjustments
If billing or tax information you provide is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date and this results in tax being under-collected or over-collected, Shelf Labs may re-calculate, adjust or re-issue invoices, and charge or refund the difference, as required by applicable law (clause 5.9).
6. Payment processing and bank charges
Payments may be processed by Stripe or another third-party payment processor and are subject to the processor’s applicable terms. You are responsible for foreign-exchange, currency-conversion, cross-border, card or bank fees charged by your bank, card provider or payment processor (clause 5.11).
7. Your rights under the law
Nothing in the Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights, remedies, guarantees, warranties or conditions that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law (clause 12). Nothing in the cancellation clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (clause 19.1).
ShelfGRC is a business-to-business product. The business-use confirmations in clause 3.3 do not take away any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law that can’t be excluded.
8. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to Shelf Labs Pty Ltd (ABN 38 691 395 730) at contact@shelflabs.io (clauses 24.7 and 25).
